I'm a support engineer at Dell EMC, and there has been a major culture shift. With all the money spent acquiring EMC, there has been a huge drive for cost reduction. In a call center warranty support environment you can only do that in 2 ways. You either cut dispatching, or you cut people loose.
I know I'm searching for a new opportunity, I only wish I had started sooner.
Great point and this is already happening. I know of 1 start up that has even moved in to offices right next door to Dell. Success means nothing without ownership.
