I went through a blood bath with the ICG some years ago before joining CSX in 1987. Same thing is happening now with CSX. New top management, new management style, new vision etc. Bottom line is that nobody's job in the rail industry is ever bullet proof. Have a backup plan. I was able to switch carriers in the ICG bloodbath and that saved me so I could finish my railroad career with a pension.
