Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

I was offered a position for HPE 3PAR support, is it worth it?

I was offered a position for technical support for 3pars. It is a 6 month contract to permanent position and pays low to mid 40's. I dont like that the health care through the contractor is $450 a month and close to $800-1000 if you have a spouse or family, but i guess that would be the sacrifice in those months as a contractor.

Is technical support a safe area job security wise for HPE, since it is in the USA for this product?

I see all the bad about HPE in here, but. I also hear hpe is selling thousands of 3Par per month, so would this be worth it or should I keep looking elsewhere?

40k really? At these rate might as well cut grass for a living. Is this break/fix HW type of work? Has to be either a surplus of experienced support people or that area is severely under paid.
