Thread regarding Coca-Cola Co. layoffs

I am not sure how all of this will end, but I can tell you that the company is going down the drain...

I have not left the company yet, even though at 55+ years of age I have a target on my back.

The previous poster said that: "It's chaos and not a place you want to work." - I can attest to that, it's very crazy internally with lines shifting and people leaving constantly due to voluntary attrition or just being laid off.

A large number of people that I know were older workers, well compensated but very knowledgeable. Coca Cola does not value experience and quality any more - people with experience are being laid off and they are bringing in junior resources or folks with lower pay, often recent immigrants with degrees from India.

I was impacted in 2017. Coke is opening IT offices in Bulgaria and Singapore to be able to pay IT workers less. They get away with this by saying they are a global company. It you are in IT in Atlanta, your days are numbered.

Not surprising, their level of debt is continuing to climb, and their profits are continuing to decline, something needs to give
