Another big layoff happened yesterday.
Theres no way to know how many since its always secret.
Seems to be a few here and there every few months, just lost a few more last week, and a few others resigned.
The goal is to move all non-customer-onsite positions to India. The support model in Norwood is being revised to a swarming model as this will be the easiest to transition offshore.
A headcount reduction has begun with the fiscal year coming to an end this Friday. Support positions affected, including the new Cincinnati office.
They're now implementing a plan to end overtime by having a Tuesday through Saturday work week.
Mr. CEO. Do you have any comments? It was a good decision to come out of ADP but sociopaths took over the exec positions. All find jobs before it's too late. I even see that they don't care when good resources leave the company.
Which teams have already been affected this year?
Best is to call Mr.President and tell them about this shady company. Looks like top exec wants to fill their wallets/purses. They do not care about employees. They do not care about the product. Just milking the cow and reducing teams in the USA to cut American salaries and take the same as their yearly bonuses.
I wanted to elaborate on my previous post. I am @Mzx21Dm-2bfg. I do not know for a fact that they use ethnicity, age and gender to determine who to lay off. I have had leadership at CDK suggest that to me, particularly to improve representation of different groups, but I do not know that to be a fact. There are lists they keep of employees they use to determine RIFs.
Rumors are around 300 total. In the past there were lists of employees that managers kept that were used to determine who to lay off. I think they still do it this way. Criteria seems to be a combination of salary level, ethnicity, gender, age and value to the team. Most software development is going to India, so I would assume more job losses elsewhere in that space but this layoff crossed departments.
Don't be surprised if there are more.
My team hasn't been affected yet, but would love to hear what people know. Everyone is walking on eggshells wondering if they're going to be next on the chopping block. No communication has been given about who has been laid off and why, which I find even more unsettling.
