Thread regarding Kmart layoffs

DM been to our store once a week for the last month and a half.

I'm starting to feel our store is next on the chopping block. DM visits our store once a week. Our store sales are down. We had a BS morning rally and our store manager had the heart to stand there and look everyone in the face and tell a bold face lie saying we signed a new lease. I look up the property information and our store is up for lease. This company does nothing but lie and no one from corporate down want to be accountable for nothing. Sears holdings best answers to everything is I don't know or let me check and I'll get back to you.

Managers don't know until a few days before the announcement to employees. DM's only find out about store closings a week or a few days before the managers. The Regional manager finds just a little before the DM's. Everyone is pretty much in the dark until it happens. No one is lying because they really don't know until corporate announces store closings. Who decides which stores close, I don't know.

The lease at my store does not expire until Feb 2018, and our DM came to our Sears Store on December 27th to tell us that they are closing our store. The liquidation began on Jan 6th and end on Sunday, March 26th. The store manager did not find out about our store closing until Dec 26th, and he was a new hire, about 4 month into his job. Sometimes they do not know just doing their job. Sears Holdings Corporation is in Mr. Lampert hands, stay or get out.

The last thing management always tells employees before they're laid off is, "There are no layoffs coming."

Truth, happens almost every time.
