So the mass movement of employees back to office space is in progress. Innovative? No. New, fresh, breakthrough? Please.
This is a disguised mass layoff and cost cutting move, nothing more.
The people who can't or won't move are established, experienced (expensive) people. They are being replaced by inexperienced know-nothings at half the cost.
Just to make sure the replacements understand that they are as valuable as cattle, the new offices are depressing open spaces with long tables, no dividers, and bean bag chairs. No, seriously.
That isn't going to last very long as these new folks get wiser, and the execs responsible for this idea will fail to achieve their goals trying to use these constantly churning cheap inexperienced eager beavers.
Innovative? In case you haven't been paying attention, IBM has been penny-wise and pound-foolish for many years now.
