If Altice does what I think they will do, and the "story" is true, then odds are Atlice will move all main media operations to either New Jersey or Texas. Especially Texas, where real estate is super cheap and they'll receive favorable tax considerations from the state. I'm sorry to say that your functions in Long Island can be transferred, at a cheaper cost. And if you're single, without children and willing to relocate (if offered), then you may start getting used to wearing a cowboy hat.
Any idea of the high tax rate imposed on businesses located in New York City? Any surprise why the Bethpage warehouse was closed? Od course, it would have been easier to relocate USTC over to Long Island, since the warehouse was already established, and more importantly, the 98 workers would still be employed. But it didn't happen.
For me, it's become a soap opera. It's pretty simple to predict the outcome for tomorrow. The actions Altice has taken is no surprise. At times I wish I can tell technicians "what's next", but honestly, it won't matter. They just won't listen. They'll wait for the obvious catastrophe to happen to them, and then they'll say, "woe is me."
If anyone wants to EASILY FIGURE THIS OUT..... just follow the money.
