Homeshored

Has anyone heard how all the layoffs are affecting Homeshored employees? Are they being affected too?

I am adding to my last reply that current employees CAN apply to work from one of the hub offices. However, the likelihood of being transferred or rehired is very low since the new salary given at the hub location will also be very low and not worth the employee's time if they are going to make 30% of what they made at their previous or home shored location.

Concerning home shored employees having to work from one of the few offices remaining instead of from home: That is NOT my understanding.

All current home shored employees will be terminated. Very few if any exceptions. In addition to no longer allowing associates to work from home, ADP needs to cut salaries drastically. Therefore all home shored associates must go. Some may get severance packages and others will be fired for "not being productive enough". Their jobs will be taken over by much cheaper employees working from an office.

My understanding is that all homeshored employees will be told that they either need to come back into one of the locations that is remaining open or they will be let go. If you are homeshored, brush up your resume because it is coming to you soon.

I confirm what the two posters have said above. Home shored employees can easily be laid off. There are two issues. The first is that ADP employees are going to have to work from the new "hubs" springing up (Norfolk, VA, Maitland, FL, El Paso, TX). No more working from home. The second is that current employees are being let go no matter how capable or valuable they are. The problem is that they are earning too much money (in ADP'S view) and will be replaced by new employees (so called associates) that will work from the hubs and be paid far less than the experienced employees they are replacing.

A small number of current employees are being asked to relocate to one of the hubs, but the vast majority are being given severance packages to leave. I was one of the latter.

Homeshored employees are being targeted. they are adopting a co-location workforce where the majority of workers will work from 6-8 large office complexes. Small offices will become obsolete. I have worked in the Ann Arbor office for 30 years and was told I could apply for my job and then move myself to a new office complex in Norfolk, VA. Else, I was given my separation date. That was the situation for almost all of the 150 employees in the Ann Arbor office.

Several people have been let go with no warning who worked from home. They are the easiest targets to be let go.
