Make Cabela's beloved again. Hopefully the DOJ / FTC regect this deal. They certainly should - the two powerhouses - ridiculous. Anyway, hopefully just the bank goes and CAB uses the money to buy their stock back. Then, go out and hire the best and brightest who love to hunt/fish and who understand the town of Sidney should always be protected as it is such an amazing part of the story. Go out and market the story. Get Marry and Jim out there telling their story ... An advertisement on the Super Bowl, Fox News, Whicked tuna, Shark tank ...etc. They are such beautiful humble people ... if the ad is well done people will take to them and come to our stores once again. Become beloved again, make our town a happy place again.

"Hopefully the bank goes". Watch that go and you are out of business in a few years. The bank is the most profitable part of Cabela's.
Mary and Jim want out...they are not looking to start building the brand all over again.
Cabelas is not likely to be beloved again...if it doesnt get bought by BP...think JC pennys Sears or Kmart. A slow and painful death.
