Thread regarding Automatic Data Processing Inc. layoffs

Layoffs

Based on all the postings on the different websites there were layoffs everyday this past week.

Most people are not receiving any notice at all.

ADP should step up and be a better employer to everyone who is being laid off.

Most decent companies will show a little more compassion for the workers they are laying off and help them with some type of job placement assistance and offer them some sort of severance package to help with the transition of being terminated and laid off from their positions.

ADP created offices around the country and hired thousands of people over the years and paid them decent wages. Now the company wants to get rid of them and offer nothing after all the hard work they did.

This action demonstrates piss poor leadership from the CEO and the board of ADP.

I cannot say what offices and when they are closing, but my understanding is that virtually ALL offices that are not part of the new "hubs" being created (Norfolk, VA; Maitland, FL; El Paso, TX; etc.) will be closing. The general time frame is this year (2017) and next year. Certainly by 2019. This is happening in stages.

In my opinion, this is a very irresponsible move which virtually guarantees that ADP will go under in the near future. So much talent and experience is being thrown out the door that it is mind-blowing. You simply cannot throw out almost EVERYONE and expect your business to continue as though nothing ever happened. Not in a company that requires so much intellectual capital to succeed.

Can you tell me what locations received notice this week and when they are closing?

ADP is targeting all positions for layoffs. No job is safe. Company has a goal of only having five large locations left after everything is done.

Only time a job is safe with ADP is on the weekend when they are closed.

ADP is closing offices and laying off workers across the country in almost every state.

Only the new locations in FL, GA, VA and AZ are safe. Those locations are replacing the jobs being slashed.

They are called layoffs but what ADP is doing is replacing them with new hires at lower wages and down graded benefits.

Don't worry guys. Your companies are only the first waves of the torrential downfall of companies axing people.

7 years of financial engineering, money printing, ultra loose credit, and the greatest increase in USA"s debt in history is not a "Recovery"

It is the act of a dying empire, drinking its last bottle of wine while smoking its last cigar.

Sorry for intruding, I am with another company here (we have a busy board on layoffs.com as well) and I am just curious at what locations are you having layoffs and what positions are being hit. Thanks.
