9:30 am - roll into Intel parking lot in your luxury car paid for by bonus you don't deserve
9:45 am - time it takes for you to get out of car and walk into your building.
9:46 am - head to cafeteria for breakfast burrito, free coffee and complimentary fruit + 5 extra pieces in
your backpack because you feel above the rules that apply to everyone else..
10:00 am - after some chit chat with your daily breakfast cook who works a helluvalot harder than you
by 9am than you will all day, you proceed to the cashier, where you don't open your food
container in order to confirm what you're buying. Instead, you tell her it's 2 slices of toast or
6 oz of eggs in order to save $1.95 more cost.
10:05 am - head your way upstairs to your cube after feeling pretty good about yourself for your
morning shameless "victories" at the cafeteria.
11:00 am - you're done eating that breakfast burrito and reading the morning news online. you only
took so long because you forgot the hot sauce and had to make another run down to the
cafeteria.
11:00 am - team meeting, where you have no updates to share, focus on your laptop and type away
to make it seem like you're busy with something so high priority you have to be rude and
do during the meeting while ignoring updates and presentations by fellow team members.
11:50 am - rush to your cube and dock your laptop, get on IM and contact your lunch buddies.
12:15 pm - you finally all decide on where to go and meet up at the lobby.
12:30 pm - arrive at lunch destination where you enjoy the pizza buffet with your Intel discount.
1:45 pm - back on site and in your office, dealing with a massive food coma and checking your
calendar hoping for no meetings for rest of day. Lo and behold you see a fresh invite
from a colleague wanting to sync up on some joint project's details.
2:00 pm - you take time thinking of a good excuse to reschedule, compose it, and hit send, hoping
it sounds legit and they'll accept the proposed new meeting time/day.
2:05 pm - time for a smoke break outside, plus chit chat with the smoking comrades, all of you puffing
up a storm nearly bad enough to trigger the local fire dept to come check on things, then
head to cafeteria for some more coffee..
2:30 pm - check your calendar for tomorrow's scheduled events, check on your 401K, check EPP for
latest deals, surf the web, catch up on youtube. Quickly make some notes in preparation
for next Focal, as you think up one more impressive sounding accomplishment and play up
its impact on the org. You're pleased and sure that'll bump you from successful to exceeds
this year, as long as you don't forget to throw Jane you're coworker under the bus for
some screw-up that wasn't even her fault.
3:53 pm - gotta pack up and get ready to head out coz you wanna beat traffic and feel you've done
enough for the day even though it's less than even 8 hours you've put in today.
3:59 pm - already in car and rear wheels almost have left campus.
4:20 pm - arrive home, ask what's for dinner, b--ch about your stressful day to garner sympathy and
feel like a hero and hard working breadwinner that you know you aren't.
6:00 pm - dinner followed by telling little Tommy you'll help with homework tomorrow because you
can't tonight due to an online meeting with business partners in India, which you know is
total non-sense, but sounds like he bought it.
7:00 pm - get to your office and fire up the new Call of Duty just in time to join your clan for an all-night
shoot-fest, coz you don't plan to roll in to work until 9:45am anyway.
This is why AMD will pwn Intel in 2017 2H and all of 2018.
