Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

The train of opportunity is about to arrive!

Like the phoenix Cabela's WILL return and on that day i will be able say I told you so to all the haters and naysayers who chose to bad mouth, ridicule the fine leadership of the city council, the board of directors and the executive team

The community and the company is going through a growing phase and I pity the fools who are to ignorant to see it. Keep buying the lie and fail to accept the truth and you will be left behind from the train of opportunity that is about to arrive.

Thanks for all the great ideas and support. Weed from CO will be in the assortment soon to follow-up the Weed sprayer attachments for tractors we dumped. Go Carts too are coming to assortments - Everyone is on the GO around here in Sidney. We are going to be known for this in the future. Cabellas is getting ahead of a trend we see on the horizon.

Dog Training and Handling classes are coming too so we will be the worlds foremost dog and pony show company.

Fear not said I, there are no more Layoffs coming ... today... as of now....

Has Anyone seen my rose colored glasses?

Too much redundancy with Bass Pro as the new owner. They have people doing our jobs down in Missouri. Their board and eteam will be loyal to their people in Missouri. Yesterday was just the begging. Once the deal closes I'm projecting another 1,000 layoffs in Sidney. We have to hope this deal falls apart. STRIKE and it will.

Sadly enough i agree, when in the past one major business or opportunity left the area there was another to take its place, sadly not this this time.

all there is on the horizon is well horizon.

somebody turn the lights out when they leave. It is over, what was once a beacon of opportunity has hole s---ing turned into a black hole s---ing the life out of everything

I'm hoping for the best but at this time all I foresee is doom for Sidney and Cabela's. If BP deal goes through, BP will own all rights to the Cabela's name. How will Cabela's rebuild if BP owns the rights? If the deal falls apart and Cabela's is left alone. They owe/borrowed so much it would be impossible to rebound without closing stores and selling off land and buildings. Again I'm hoping for the best for Cabela's and Sidney but at this time all signs point to bad times ahead.

Tommy, grow up, you have already ruined an incredible company, a great community and a lot of awesome people. Go run Best Buy into the dirt as you have Cabelas and take all your big box transplants with you.
