Anything is on the table for us at Cabelas. If we can make money, we will. It's business you small town fools.

How on earth can you even believe that there would not be store closings with a merger. Stores that are close to each other - it is apparent that the market is not supporting multiple locations within given areas. Smarten up!

Out of the question to close stores.??... Have you people fallen off the turnip truck? Is this your first job in retail? Do you know how many stores have been bought up, closed down, just to eliminate a competitor over the last 50 years.

They're NOT paying ... for the Cabela's name...or the locations...or the inventory...they are paying for pricing power! Eliminate the biggest competitor and your margins can go up. The FTC knows this and is concerned that Bass Pro will have a monopoly in this small slice of retail. They are not going to liquidate all the Cabela's stores...just the ones that aren't performing. I bet they shutter a bunch of low performing BP stores. Then they are left with the best stores and a hybrid of Cabelas /BP brands. And yes, only one headquarters...it only makes financial sense.

And by the way this isn't some top secret plan...it's Business 101.

You spend 5.5 billion on Cabelas to then liquate the stores. Why don't you just keep your 5.5 billion and pick and choose what stores you want to buy out of all the stores which are going out of business.

Prove it. This is BS. We need to stop making stuff up. Plenty of real things happening to connect dots without needing to make stuff up. Lastly, you don't liquidate stores you paid five billion for. Even if I wasn't 100 percent certain you are full of it, common sense tells you that.

Also, it's entirely possible that SIDNEY operations get closed down, the majority of CAB personal goes away, ITS out of the question that they are going to liquidate stores. STOP. You are not contributing to helping inform anyone that could or will be impacted by this.
