McKesson merger w/Change Healthcare. We are in a huge push to reconcile all AR balances including current balances by 3/31/17. The business office in Colorado hasn't announce the merger that occurred on 3/1/17 which looks suspicious and underhanded. I suspect layoffs will start 3/31/17 in the Revenue Cycle Management and suspect the A/R will be outsourced. The transition will be over the next year but I suspect huge layoffs since the 2018 projection is for $150 mill savings. That can only be accomplished with layoffs.

McKesson could layoff the entire Westminster office and no one would blink an eye. Hiring them back after HzERM was canned was a huge mistake.
Mckesson layoffs have been going on for years (development, QA, services and recent years - support). The ones sticking around are waiting for severance packages who have been there for quite awhile. Don't kid yourself. If you young and still willing to learn, look for new job. Mckesson technologies are so outdated and ancient. You will be surprised what is going on out there. For those more senior, perhaps wait out for severance and retire. The world out there is very competitive but rewarding. Technologies at Mck at least 5-6 years behind what other there are using.
3/31/18 is when Horizon Clinicals and Series will be sunset, so that will surely precipitate a major layoff in those areas, I would assume.
What is happening in March 2018? I don't foresee EIS still being part of McKesson by then. Unless it isn't sold and enters shutdown mode.
I don't think there is anything suspicious or underhanded going on.
Colorado is Hz (Horizon). They are EIS and are not part of this merger to CHC and I am not surprised they will have no communication on CHC news.
There will be definitely layoffs beginning in the FY starting 4/1/2017 and probably continue thru the year. March 2018 is coming fast and there may be only skeleton staff left in Hz and Series very soon. Good luck to anyone sticking it out, waiting for severance. You may not get it.
The real question would be, which Pharma distribution center would be on the chopping block? Or which will be merged? Anyone have info on real estate prospects McK is seeking out?
