It seems to me that commenter atk is the one who is the "useful tool". When this country had 35% of its workers in unions, and taxed the rich and corporations at a much higher rate, we had a humming economy and also had a thriving middle class. Today we have people tricked into going for this "right to work" nonsense and they end up with less pay and less benefits. it's also an undeniable fact that these RTW states end up being the moocher states where the people need extra government handouts to help them make ends meet. What happened to our economy and why are the unions dying? Because a few hundred Billionaires (IE Koch Bros, Betsy DeVos) are funding literally a hundred different front groups that trick the working guy into going against his own best interests. They have more lobbyists than you have hair on your head and own the politicians OUTRIGHT. Let me ask you a question, why in the world are two brothers who are worth 100 billion dollars looking to take away every safety net that the working person has? To them unions are bad, Social Security is bad, Medicare is bad, Jesus H Christ, they even want to get rid of the minimum wage! If you think I'm kidding look up the platform that David Koch ran under when was the Libertarian candidate for Vice President. As for mentioning Trump, why not. Did he not say that the days of the little guy getting forgotten over are over with? What do you call it when a foreign company comes in here wants to turn employees into contractors? I've been reading hundreds of comments about the employees unhappiness and uncertainty on this comment board, if the employees were happy there would be no talk of unions and no political talk. Good luck to everybody with your future, but please don't go out without a fight.
