Cash balance can be removed now . I requested mine in early March . Should be in my bank beginning of April(the pay out once monthly) . Just remember penalties and taxes.

I already know that. Question is do you know that? Your the ones that were talking like Union was guaranteed. Now you switch your tone like a typical millennial liberal.

Understand this a lot of techs lost their jobs fighting to unionize their shops or blacklisted. Those techs out of a job or blacklisted are on you. You made promises you couldn't keep lost multiple elections life goes on for you but not for those techs that believed in you.

Stop selling lies and half truths. Do your jobs and do it well you got nothing to worry about. Do t like the benefits find something better it's that simple. But going around acting like Union will crush the Roman Empire is as delusional as it gets.

We will be going back and forth forever, contract is key if you don't have one you are expendable at a whim at will, you surrendered simple and plain f the union, contract in writing gives us that and you won't need a union or a threat give every employee a contract that's it. I am pretty sure you have one because I know your from corporate.

Lol see that's what you don't get. Your so called Union voice hasn't given anyone a choice. If given the choice Brooklyn wouldn't be s---ing on the contract they have right now. They get paid less money now because their little voice has to pay a third party dues on a lousy contract. Come on man who you fooling? Because it ain't the techs smart enough to know in this situation Union is useless they only make it worse.

Yeah so with certainty maybe I'll be let go at some point with ATS but maybe not. Either way it's business nothing personal ATS doesn't owe me anything. it's just a job a means to an end li,e any other job. If you take pride in it want to make it a career and feel good cool that's your choice. But don't for once think a company of any kind owes you anything more than your paycheck, dignity and respect. If at some point you don't like any of the above you move on.

This is a different time my friend. Statistically unions hurt the economy by stagnating employment so the union guys working can get paid more and do less. It still has that mob blood in it. Extorting a company u dear the guise of a so called brotherhood is akin to joining a gang that says your family as long as you pay up and do what your told.

Again tell us how exactly your Union going to change anything? You really think your voices are going to get a single thing back that we lost? Do you really deep down? Because I got news for you it's not.

Different world out there you need to adapt and stop thinking in the past. Business today have greater protections and laws against Union. The nlrb is not the only outfit in town looking out for the interest of employees. Employers are not the pushovers of the 1970s.

There's not enough for everyone. It's a cut throat environment. Employers will do what it takes to stay in the green with or without you. As you said there's always someone cheaper and better but you know what there's also someone who won't complain about the job.

So the only difference is an email now stating we lost sick days or an email three yrs from now stating we lost sick days. What you fail to realize is negotiations is just as bad as transparency they are both the opposite of what they are meant to be.

Union can't do anything period. Just make promises of a possibility nothing more. I'll stick with certainty thx.

What you failed to realize is the union is going to negotiate for you, and your coworkers.

The union in a simple form is a workers lawyer, when you are negotiating a contract. If you don't agree on the terms you do not sign it until you and the other party has an agreement that's it the union cannot promise you anything but one thing the terms of your employment will not change unless it's negotiated and agreed upon you sit at the table you don't get a email saying your pension is being taken away, or your sick days are being eliminated that's it.

No one is saying you don't have the right to an opinion. But Helios is right.union needs to be more transparent about what exactly they can achieve short of going on strike. Sure Altice is no saint. But it seems outside of a lot of tough talk Union can't do anything to make it better.

You either go with the flow or get another job.

Yes management thinks of us as plug and play and in the same sentence he has your best interest at Heart, there goes your training Ats, plug and play and we're redundant eliminating a skilled worker for a less experienced one that's not redundant that's cheap. Altice business model bad service profits thru deep cost cutting, what bonus you are getting? The numbers have been checked it's a Sham Jordan money.

I as a worker have the right to voice my displeasure if I feel something is not right. That is what this site is for. I ask the question and it was answered. You are trying to justify the elimination of thousands of workers, and destroying families from a profitable company before you acquired it, I doubt you since your a minion. During the process saying it's normal cost of business. Well I do not agree with it!!! Is that alright or I need your permission to express my opinion, you will not shut us down this is the problem, what you are doing is not right plain and simple, and like I said before, I believe Ats is a sham and time will prove me right. If my fellow workers decide to go to Ats I want them to have as much information as possible not the half transparency you are providing, do you actually believe you are doing good things for us. Look at your track record it s---s google Altice and then you will know why we we have this site period stop. .

All Iam reading here is baseless hate, and speculation. everything that has transpired since the arrival of ATS has been completely normal for a company that just invested billions and billions more to expand and profit in its purchase.

Jobs were cut because they were redundant and not worth keeping. As far as I can tell ALTICE has been honest it's the unions running around spreading fear and inaccuracies about everything this company has done.

We may not like everything that has happened but not once did Altice hide or make excuses for it. All I've seen union reps and supporters do is lie, misinform, and speculate spreading fear and uncertainty claiming the only thing certain is to be union.

Yet if we look at Oakland, and Brooklyn they have absolutely nothing better than any other non union depot. In fact they have less. They are now floating around in stagnation one with a dead contract the other waiting to negotiate a contract dead on arrival. Neither one has been offered an ATS position and neither one will. Union will say it's because ATS doesn't want to open their books. But the truth is ATS doesn't care what your theories are they are moving forward, you are not.

While you continue to speculate and spread conspiracy the company and its free at will technicians forge ahead with them. The truth of the matter is we're doing just fine without your union. I think it's best you take care of your union brothers and figure out how you will survive the next few months. And those in Brooklyn better be ready for another long fight when your contracts up. The rest of us will be getting bonuses, raises, certified, and learning fiber.

It's your money not there's why are they controlling your money it was in your account and why guys that haven't signed up yet, had there money taken out also, are they assuming they are signing on to Ats. Maybe they are going to get a little interest on that and pay the sign on bonus with your own money, this is what happens when you defend the indefensible, and believe the unbelievable keep trusting I have a bridge I am going to sell interested?

Yes we were told before hand that once we go to ATS we are essentially leaving the company, and will have to cash out our pensions. We were told once it's official in April we will get letters on how we want our cash balance, and it will take 45 days after the request to get it.

So I'd say yes they've been very transparent.

Spoke to Fidelity and they said there is a "manual calculation flag" on my account. If you want to calculate payments of find out a lump sum # you have to call and he said they can only mail it.

This is one of the things I'm talking about, by clicking on that mouse you gave them the right to go into your account and remove the money. You earned without warning. No transparency yet there going to post on this site, when we don't agree with the type of stuff that Altice does you cry union propaganda. The union did not take millions of dollars on these accounts Altice did. The majority of these accounts the techs are 100% vested. I have never heard of a person voluntarily leaving to go to a new company and said company has the right to go into your pension fund and remove it wtf. Can I get a response from a corporate troll please?
