Anybody heard about a layoff this March? What day?

Several folks laid off quietly. Some bright ones forced off because of dirty office politics. Disgusting SVPs in WDC Engineering side - Milpitas office. Crazies who came from Amazon/LG destroyed the culture. Treat people like slaves and only those in inner circle survive.
So it this Wednesday the day?
WDC decided to close Pune center India and will declare on 29th March 2017.
We all have mortgages, children in college, medical bills, etc. We need to know if there is a layoff in advance to prepare financially. Management needs to be less vague and more open about layoffs in future.
It's not just projects, its people. Tech companies are competing for top talent and the worst thing company can do is layoff good employees. Losing the talent is just one aspect of it, it also sets bad example to other good employees, they start leaving because they stop trusting the management. All in all, I think management will do the right thing - this company is not run by dummies, otherwise they wouldn't be where they are now.
If all of the discussion in the thread is true: Clearly its a bad management and lack of vision , otherwise the Projects that someone listed in the thread are Flashsoft and ION, both of them have potential to grow and are BU's in itself.
I wish some visionary come out of blues and see the potential of these products and buy them from WD and start as new startup. I am just throwing ideas here...any takers?

Well I am a Trump supporter, but that was pretty damn harsh. Sorry all of us Trump supporters are not racist, we need to stop stereo typing people.
I know that FlashSoft and ION are being effected in the old FIO building for sure. I heard approximately 230 people getting laid off this go around, not sure if this includes other locations, I don't know what the headcount is at Junction.

Are they going to send out a meeting invite tonight after hours for all to show up in a conference room tomorrow?
Or are they going to take people as they walk in to the office to a conference room and do it one at a time?

I heard this month (March '17) and that most of the people in the old Fusion-io building in San Jose will get axed. The only thing I have heard is that it would be at the end of the month. So the 29th could make sense, since last time they did a layoff in San Jose, it was on a Wednesday.
I heard rumors about multiple dates (17th or 29th). But this month for sure. Also heard that it would impact Sandisk more than legacy WDC, specially in DCS BU.
