During your training is it true that you were told not to associate with the veteran techs and that we are lazy and disgruntled and were not part of the future?

My friend... I go back to the days when lead techs were the teachers. When newbies called them when they were stuck at a problem. Lead technicians bounced to many jobs, to check up on you and make sure you were okay. It gave them a positive self-importance, knowing they were contributing to another tech's career.
Later on, they were given routes like everyone else. Then supervisors performed the duties of the lead. And if he was too busy... good luck.
It's every man for himself. Team values have all disappeared.
Might as well get drunk.
Thanks for the insight I just wanted to hear it I kind of knew it, I am very disappointed by It. I always took pride in helping younger up and coming techs, and teaching them different methods of troubleshooting. I noticed that all stopped in 2012 when they started pitting tech against tech instead of comraderie, work is work common goal do your job as best as you can and get home safe and learn your craft that's it. Management mantra a divided workforce is a controlled workforce, hopefully this will unite all the techs. Management is united in dividing us let's not give them what they want
We were told not to listen as you were bad, disgruntled habits waiting to be changed and, if we wanted to succeed, we should make up our own minds and do what is good for us (the future).
