CSX has been reducing headcount for years, a bit with attrition, and a lot through Involuntary Separation. The most recent cuts that took place in 2017 place more of a burden on employees. Current environment is one of fear to lose your job, constant anxiety for everyone involved, managers hate it too. CSX changed and not for the better.

When was CSX ever family friendly? Certainly never in the field...
It was a shame when the Corbin yard closed. It has about caused a total disruption in that small town. CSX needs to buy out the short timers. That would save money and give an advantage to younger personnel trying to advance with the company.
I got terminated because the crew caller didn't take me off a ticket and when it got tied up they saw it as me stealing money from csx..so there went my job! It's been over a year now
Enough complaining for today. OK, OK, one more try:
Where should I start?
-
horrible quality of life,
-
absurd rules,
-
micromanagement to a preschool degree,
-
fear of losing your career on an hour-by-hour basis,
-
and a thousand other things
