Does anyone know the downsized/targeted size of the company after everything is said and done?

HPE is the future Siemens: eg, no hardware, and support only for other folks hardware. As a result, all of R&D will be eliminated.

Can't say for the company, but the manager for my team was told to cut cost back 40% (and that includes cutting cost for contingency employees/agencies). That came straight for my manager's mouth during a 1-on-1 conversation, which I believe my manager slipped in telling me that.
