Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

US$250 per meal per person when traveling!?!?

I heard that with the old Broadcom before being acquired by Avago... everyone was allowed US$250 per meal per person multiple times a day while you're on a business trip? Is that true?

The guys from old BC kept boasting to us of the good old days trying their best to max out the expenditure for every meal going for fine dining -lobster, foie gras, the works.

Tell me that's not true... right?

That sounds very much like a factor on the road to the company's gradual downfall.

That's not true at all. There were daily and meal limits in place. There WAS a ~$250 limit per person, but that was reserved for client dinners and had to be pre-approved by the VP/SVP in advance.
