Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

There are a lot of PC fanboys here too. That's all the AMD posts came from. IBM has a whole lot more going on but fanboys obviously have nothing to say there.

A sensible post and agree with @asl. Only reason Intel thread is more active seems to be because of the number because it is such a big company and the occurrence of it. Also the lack of transparency and the spending on acquisitions among other things have left employees in a not so content state. Usually the story in many companies, a bit more relevant to Intel though.

@cam- I believe it's active because in 2015 between the ISP & VSP there were 5,500 people affected and last year the announcement was 11,000. Having said that, I do think we have bitter and naive trolls who post on the Intel board. Anyone thinking that it would be different at another corporation is fooling themselves. Good luck getting Intel to answer questions on a public forum. It's run bureaucrats that won't answer question internally. Remember how we found out about workforce reduction in 2015? It was a mole feeding information to the Oregonian. If one does not like how corporations do things, then it's time to start their own business.

@asl. This is layoff.com, so post willl be intel layoff related. You question is more like why Intel is only company that is so hot and remains hottest on layoff topic? While many other companies do layoff, some even larger % than Intel, without so many related post. Good question for Intel to answer.

There are several faction trolls who post here: The ones who got ISP last year and still have not moved on posting fake news.. There is at least one Qualcomm troll (why on earth would he post on this board) posting lies and fake news. Lastly, you have the current Intel employees who are millennial snowflakes that think corporations are created so people can keep their jobs.

All are naive to the corporate world that think Intel is the only corporation laying off. Fact is, ALL corporations go through hiring and firing stages. They do what they do to make themselves feel better in my opinion.
