You people are apparently all new to Intel or to corporations in general. Yes, people are being laid off. Groups are being removed. Sites are being closed. At the same time, people are being hired, new groups are being established and new sites are being opened.
So you idiots scream "OH NO ANOTHER ACT" when a couple hundred people are let go after Focal for performance reasons or when a team of a hundred people is let go. At the same time, Intel has 2000 open positions worldwide.
The people here who keep shouting "ACT ACT ACT!" are the AMDoofs and Qualtrolls who have too much time on their hands, ex-Intel employees who hope others will also be let go and Intel employees who lack basic math skills (which shows that Intel still has some fat to cut).
I am not saying Intel is doing great. I am not saying your job is safe, because anyone at Intel can always get laid off for any reason. But there simply is no ACT. Period.
And as a matter of fact, there never will be another "ACT", because they would not re-use that acronym.
