Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

The pieces are all in place to transition from hourly W- 2 employees to piece working 1099 contractors for ATS. First, as soon as the company gained control, heads start rolling from the top and so forth, others "Voluntarily left to explore different opportunities" . The call centers are elminated and then consolidated. SENIOR TECHS are forced out. Call centers, RCC, Sales, Customer Service will soon be routed to the Dominican Republic, Texas or Georgia. Field Service and OSP are the only ones who will be in this new company, ATS, that supposedly handles the technical aspect of the work. So, ATS has no frame work established as far as payroll or HR, etc. Every other deparment stays in Altice USA but field service and OSP/ Construction go to ATS Contracting. So, who pays the technician ? It is not ATS, it will be Altice USA. Why does this sound familiar? That is because, guess who else gets paid by Altice USA and is not part of Altice USA, that would be the CONTRACTORS. Which makes sense now that the company prioritizes PRODUCTIVITY over craftsmanship or YOUR OWN SAFETY. According to the new score card Productivy is at 40% and Safety at 15%, that only shows the direction this company is moving towards, CONTRACTORS. If that wasn't enough, The medallia had the name of the technician set as CONTRACTORS not technican, CONTRACTORS. They claim it was an oversight, "where there's smoke, there's fire." Too many facts and too many things have happened to ignore what they have been trying to do to US, ALL OF US. They take away OUR sick time, take away OUR bonuses, increase our health benefits, take away our right to have benefits. Establish a new company, ATS to take away what little we still have left, to then make us CONTRACTORS. NOW, THERE'S ONLY ONE CHOICE TO MAKE, VOTE YES, YES TO A VOICE , YES TO REAL CHANGE.
