I'm starting to think the Ats spinoff is domed to fail. The use of the word contractor is used way too much. Positions in altice usa seem safer and more long term. Positions not as a field tech. Meaning other tech type jobs within company.

LEAVE, don't work for either. They both S---, can't wait to put in my 2 weeks if they get that courtesy
If your not getting paid by the job. Your not a contractor. Please stop with the lies. That being said. Understand if you stay with Altice you have maybe 3 to 4 years of employment after which you will be locked out of ATS. so your best bet is to go to ATS now. If your depot is interested in Union than get a vote started.
I would say that voluntarily turning you into a contractor enables them to get away with that 4 year no layoff rule they had agreed to.
Plain and simple, as a contractor your screwed.
couldn't have said it any better than that.
Webster' Dictionary:
A contractor is a person or company that performs work on a contract basis.
They can spin it anyway they want, your just a contractor. Where you work when you work or where you work is up to them.
Its safer to leave and have nothing to do with Altice PERIOD......
Either side has no value for quality people/techs.
Ask yourselves do you want to work for a company like this?
If you do want to stay at least get a UNION to back you guys, that's you LI
Without a UNION anyone making a decent salary will be pushed out
Go and watch the movie Wall Street. Watch it SLOWLY until it sinks in your head. You wont even know what hit you as Drahi finishes his liquidation of the company. They are giving your IT equipment away to CHARITY.
Plain and simple, as a contractor your screwed.
