Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

Just a pittance for a pay increase. He's worth it don't you think?

Jay got his big piece of the pie.

35% increase.

Did anyone of you get a raise?

I haven't in two years and that last one might have been .05%

Something just doesn't pass the smell test.

I agree! JH and his merry band are counting on human inertia. They know that most people don't like to change jobs and also that the job market is weak in the financial sector. Given this why would they give raises or career opportunities.

Stay and you will simply get worked harder and harder with no rewards. They have played their hand---its now up to you to respond.

They don't care about you, your family, how loyal and hardworking you are or how the stress is impacting your health.

7000 by attrition plus selective/stealth layoffs---that's how they are doing it.

I have said it before and I'll say it again, they are laying off through attrition.

When you don't have growth opportunity or salary raises, people out necessity will leave if they are so lucky to find a new job and no one will be hired to replace them.

So expect to suffer in poverty working here with low morale and high stress with little support from the uppers.

Now get back to work because you never know when your numbers up.

i feel so trapped and stuck just five years out of college.

How did this happen?

How can state street be a dead zone for careers?

How do I find a new job if no one takes my experience with any respect or usefulness?

I can't believe this is my fate slogging through an A2 role.

There HAS to be an opportunity out there for me, I can't surrender to below mediocre salary and job role.

We can use the line from the NFL it's just business, yes that's true, but what they make in a year is a lifetime of income for us, so..,not really, but if it helps them sleep at night, sure go with it.

:(

If that other thread of April 12 is true, then good luck to you all because I know my resume is out there nearly everyday and I have had nothing for response so I'm really scared.

I said it before as jay and I share the same alma mater does he not recall his Jesuit education?

Talk about an inconvenient truth...

Limousine liberals always pretend to be so compassionate, enlightened and concerned until they are asked to live what they preach.

Jay does not care about low level employees because they are replaceable.

Make a plan to get out of there before it is too late.

The ship is heading to a perfect storm in 2018, when FED starts reducing its balance sheet. The interest rate will skyrocket, Real estate and other economic activities will go back to low level.

Financial sector will not be as profitable as it is now due to lower economic activities . Jay and Mike are looking into outsourcing mid level jobs as we speak.

And furthermore square these actions with their Catholic Faith?

As a compassionate human I am asking, how does the top brass square their grossly bloated salaries when people working for them are a paycheck away from financial ruin?

Seriously, how do you validate this with your conscience?

I don't know why but I'm getting an ominous feeling we're in for a huge recession locally.

I think MA has spent spent spent and succumbed to unions on the t and teachers and the commonwealth has no money for it's budget.

Umass Boston cancelling classes left and right mbta constant cancellations mechanical issues

This is going to end with austerity.

No wonder why they don't care about us at STT, they gave bigger issues.

Love him or hate him but Pres Trump donated his salary to the Parks Service.

Obama took his and extended secret service protection for LIFE for former presidents.

Just remember that next time you vote.

The democrats no longer exist as you knew them.

Elizabeth crying pay foul that women deserve equall pay as men, yet they make about $20,000.00 less than men in her office.

Wake up to the duping!

I'm still not sure why the big love for this guy, no one out there presses him. You've seen CEO's go through the gauntlet for half the number of layoffs and questions about deserving big salary in times like this where 7000 layoffs are supposedly happening.

Why is he protected by the media?

Why doesn't the governor or mayor press h?

Is he that untouchable?

No one is that untouchable.

His salary is nut only painful because we get no pay yaoses, it's a kick in the teeth as we wait around wondering..,,,when? If!

How many?

UNCONSCIONABLE!

All Valid points. As a former employee of State Street we went for several years without a raise or a 1% or 2% raise some years. Considering how expensive it is to live in MA that is insulting. Fortunately for me, I had been working an additional part-time position on the weekends so it wasn't really a big deal for me and additionally I didn't have a family to support. He is the one that needs to go !

I am going to mail Jay H $1. If we all do that he will get the message of what we really think of him.

To say his compensation in 2016 is disgusting is being kind! It is outright shameful!

He really thinks he works for it.

What's funny (sad) is that he thinks he's one of those socially minded enlightened people, if he really was he'd forgo his raise and divy it up.

He's a sell out like sanders was when all of s sudden he had a lake front property when he "conceded".

They're called limousine liberals for a reason folks.
