Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end. — Marcus Annaeus

Very telling and quite a statement that Shir-ra-ra has not issued or mentioned a single word in her weekly blogs about the associates let go over the past nine weeks. Good thing she made time for a blog on what toilet paper she purchases from Staples, honestly talking about going down the toilet.

Unfortunately, SDS associates are still living in total fear every day of being fired next by FM and the FoF crew. We hear those left are going to be in for a rocky ride in April as well.

FM’s crew is going to outsource the majority of the remaining GT teams, not surprising as this has already started with IBM. We have learned additional details around this based on the communications by his BFF {best friend forever!} FH. Guess someone forgot to tell FH that communicating his noDC strategy to very chatty external crowds might get around. Honestly, he really is not that bright, ask anyone on 2E. Better yet, FM feel free to ask for constructive feedback on him in one of those Staples anonymous surveys. Wink Wink.

Additional messaging coming in around FH’s cloud strategy is resoundingly consistent, he is completely lost, and masks incompetence through an immature and vulgar temper. The lost part is not shocking, experience cannot be taught in a college text book.

FM, does FH have a cloud strategy? Its only been three months. Let us answer for you, NOPE! Even his highly paid subject matter expert consultants laugh at him.

How goes that 4/4 delivery objective? Oops, he missed 100% on that. Are you going to hold him accountable? Probably not, he is part of the FoF.

FM, Is it NOT disappointing that FH can’t keep his mouth shut, again, and again, seriously? Trending like this could tarnish your future ladder climbing opportunities for Shir-ra-ra's job.

FM, how did it feel when Shir-a-ra asked you to communicate to your SDS team based on overwhelming negative feedback about, well “YOU” in her “say it like it is” session?

The SDS teams are looking forward to your responses to the questions in your quarterly that you had no intent on addressing. Have to say, that question card deck was quite large.

As for your expenses at Samba last week, can you depict how this gets rationalized under your “Principle 1” of spending it like it was Staples?

#FU2!

P.S. Don’t forget to complete your ethics and conduct training/questionnaire in Talent Track from last week, wouldn’t want you getting fired over that one being incomplete.

Agreed... It's sad what this company has become ... I was once proud to work for Staples, and wanted them to succeed.

The sad part is all the loyal employees who will get screwed in the end because they make the mistake of believing what this leadership team says - instead of watching what they are doing and reading between the lines

"They just want to fly away on Golden Parachutes "

I suspect that is the cause of all the buyout rumors. Shira is realizing she can't handle it, or just doesn't want to deal with a sinking ship and wants a bail out. There are many indicators top execs just want to cash out and be done with the failure of Staples.

The leadership at Staples doesn't even want to win the War. They just want to fly away on Golden Parachutes - and the FoF will move on to destroy more jobs, and screw up other companies.

A few hundred troops, many of them inexperienced or uncommitted, up against 340,000 Amazon soldiers with drone delivery and AI-driven markets.

This is going to be even worse than the Iraqi war.

Well, what are we to expect other than what we are getting from this leadership bunch? Where's the mystery folks?

Ask yourself this:

You're a soldier on the battlefield. You look up and see the Staples Leadership Team as your commanding officers milling about in their red uniforms imploring you to fight to the death. Lending their support by stating, "We believe in you an we'll be BEHIND YOU every step of the way." You see the enemy approaching with the latest in technological weaponry and you're standing there with a pointy stick and a broken sling shot as 70% of your regiment argues with one another about how to address the process of marching in formation. A voice comes through the mist and says, "All will be well. I'm Watson and you have the unbridled support of IBM."

How's the battle going to go?

Glad I left that place based on the pit of despair it's become.

I'd pay good money to read the ROI for the cloud migration. Oh wait, they never did one! That is too bad, because I would have pissed myself laughing.
