I agree that laptops will never DIE, BUT the applications we use will transform information to make it accessible via mobile formats. Think SalesForce web & SalesForce Mobile Application, the same information is accessible in both formats but the mobile application make it easier to interact with a mobile device. Banking is another one, I do most of the banking from a mobile device like transfer money, scan checks, etc instead of using a browser or going to the bank. I would use an iPad or iPhone for everything if I could do everything on a mobile device. But for things like Word, PowerPoint and Excel laptops still work better.

Didn’t MIT release a study on the Limits of Growth a few decades back?

Guess no one bothered to read the Earnings Report where you can find what is going on and what is to come.

If you are fooled by rev , then you are not informed. Don't make comments based on emotional feelings which is past experiences.

And Dell has a far superior product line than that Frankenstein company formerly known as "HP."

And lest not forget that a majority of mobile computing devices run on 32-bit platforms... it's an Ohm's law kind-of-a-world...

The laptop will never die... over the last couple of decades I have seen tablets come and go... died in the mid-90's, and resurrected in the 2010's... there's only so much that can be "viewed" and managed efficiently on such a small platform... mobile phones and tablets... when a WHOLE datacenter is ran on such devices (mobile phones and tablets), then maybe you (O.P.) might have an argument...
