Thread regarding Quest Software Inc. layoffs

Is Quest even alive or all of them fired? Won't be long as competitors take over the market share.

Quest is crashing and burning, it turns out employees have to pay big fees towards their own Presidents Club trip. Going to be a mass exodus following this trip.

Competitors are discounting Quest big time, only interested to poach good/key people (sales, product, support) as they see the technology fade away ... easy to get 20-30% bump up in package moving ...

True. With the big guys Quest is bound to shrink further

Microsoft Corporation. Private funding raised$1m. 120,000. Redmond, WA. ...

IBM. I. Private funding raised$36m. 380,000. ...

Oracle Corporation. Headcount. 130,000. Redwood Shores, CA. ...

Dell EMC. Headcount. 72,000. Hopkinton, MA. ...

Hitachi. Headcount. 330,000. Woodbury, NY.

I guess more layoff's can be expected

Define "alive". If you define it as still generating some level of income slightly greater than the costs incurred and milking out the last bits of revenue from the legacy products, then yes - Quest is very much alive. If define alive as a thriving technology company building innovative products and on the cusp of breaking out of the shadow of the Dell nightmare then I'd have to say no - Quest is definitely pushing up daisies.
