Thread regarding Automatic Data Processing Inc. layoffs

CEO

I wonder what golf course or vacation spot Mr. CEO is hanging out on while his hard working employees are being sent to the unemployment lines.

Yes, I also wonder where the CEO is. But why worry about your employees when you can get new ones for far less money?

I worked for ADP for a couple of decades. The feeling that I got from the top echelons of management is that there is anger, even rage from them against ordinary employees (associates as they call them) on an everyday basis.

Samples of what I have seen and experienced and put into words:

Employees should know their place and tremble with fear in front of management.

Employees are a necessary evil that has to be there to do the work but must be manipulated and kept scared all the time.

You dare to quit voluntarily from our great company? Well your former position is now closed! We will lay some people off to get back at you and show the rest who really is in charge. Got you back!

We rub our hands with glee as the next layoff happens, and again, and again. What a high, every time! It's fun to watch as the remaining employees squirm with fright. We'll show them! More layoffs on the way!

Sorry to be so dramatic with this. But those types of sick messages and events kept me on the edge of my seat during my tenure at ADP. However, lower management did everything it could to soften these blows. If it wasn't for them I would have been out of there sooner.

If you still work for ADP, I strongly suggest leaving for greener pastures. They are replacing almost ALL their employees with cheap - salaried ones earning far less than what the original employees were/are being paid.

Gotta go now. I am about to see if the CEO makes a hole in one on the next shot at the golf course. I bet he does!
