Thread regarding Capgemini layoffs

Capgem layoff confirmed.

India HR forcing benchers to put in papers. Onsite folks returning one by one due to pressure from Trump machine. Margins going for a toss in some accounts, reliable sources say, and might mean people forced to take up random projects, if they want to keep their job, that is!

This is practice brought in by the HR and RMG staff who joined from techm pune.

If you are in Pune and u belong to other state, beware of this policy as the RMG in pune will allocate only local people to projects till the layoff window is open and force outsiders to resign.

this is what is happening in Most of Pune including MNC's as HR and RMG of companies lack diversity in Pune.

I was on a storage project with Tier 1 OEM. Project was high margin. When margins were hit, the sh*thead account manager threw us out on the bench. HR pressured me daily and after 1 month I was forced to resign. And now I am without job since 2 months. CapGem / IGATE is the worst employer in the world.

HR will call you and say you have 1 month to get on a billable assignment. After 1 month they will call you and ask you to put in your papers or they will terminate you. Termination is not considered good in India. Most of the people resign then be terminated. This is normal practice that HR follows. Some smart people have started asking HR to terminate their employment. HR is now running for covers as legally they cannot terminate employment without citing reasons. Indian labour laws do provide protection but most of the people are unaware of laws. One such law is that on termination Capgemini has to pay you 3 months salary. HR hides this fact in a way they are breaking law. Second if any employee ends his life due to termination threat then the entire management will be behind bars. It would be sad but it that happens then you can expect law to take its own course including putting locks at Capgemini India.

Cheers and have a nice day.
