Problem is NOT indians. It is the grredy American management who want make more money by reducing costs - replacing American labor with H-1B workers. These are the biggest absusers of H-1B program. Fix Executive pay first, rest will fall in place. You all should ask your management, why your CEO gets 5M$ bonus 300% of her salary despite 18 quarters of negative growth and you get 1% for doing what you asked to do. Why only manGement gets RSU and stock options but not most of the employees. When you figure this out, you will have more clarity of the abuse that has been going at most American companies and by their greedy management.

The indians simply cant compete on technical skill, they hardly have 1% of their staff who are full stack developers.

Take down the sites like stackoverflow, codeguru etc for few months and Indian developer cant even write a line of code.

The domain knowledge if so fragmented they cant even develop even simple products.

Very good move, Indians are not free to work outside their native state in India itself.

Employment hubs like Pune, Chennai are in the grips of regional language fanatics like shiv sena , BJP, DMK etc.

In pune any ramp down in project and head count reduction in companies means south indians will be laid off first.

First india should make itself internally open and transparent instead of exporting underpaid IT labour to USA.
