I got promoted, and my salary increase for the next level was less than 10%. Can anyone let me know if they is uncommon or is the new normal?

I worked at State Street for 5 years. Never got a promotion only lots of hard work. The managers got promoted though. The day I turned in my resignation my managers suddenly offered a tease of a promotion. Too late! I left and never looked back. Years later I heard they outsourced the department I worked in so would have been laid off anyway.
Raises based on job promotions can vary from 5% to 10% based on how the Company is doing.
Just be grateful you were able to make a small leap up the job ladder at SST.
Usually promotions are given to the people who Brown Nose the Bosses.
Most jobs have a 3 ranges Minimum Medium and Max. For example if the minimum starting salary was $39,000 and you were making only $35,000. They they would raise you to the minimum starting salary of $39,000.
Promotion?
What's that?
Raise?
Doesn't fit the vernacular at sst.
It is going to be more financially fruitful to collect welfare ebt and public housing if we don't start getting raises.
lol I wouldn't know been waiting three years on a promo get the old lateral move with promises of greener pastures.
I guess be glad you got recognized and at least a meager raise, personally now that your got it go look out of sst strike while the iron is hot. I think I once got a raise oh 10% and people said that was considered big at sst, haven't had a raise since I think 2013 and it was like 1%
