Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

For the record...

There's a lot of talk about tasks and not being able to accomplish those said tasks. There's talk about associates being stuck on register and not being able to fulifill their assigned duties. All these conversations make it seem like Staples stores are busy. STAPLES IS NOT BUSY! NO ONE IS SHOPPING AT STAPLES! STAPLES IS SEVERLY MISMANAGED! God bless the poor souls who work at Staples.

Staples is still surviving simply because its past. If this were a new company, it would not have gotten passed its parent's basement. No company can succeed with this business plan. What a joke!

I left Staples in 2013 after working at the HO for 7 years. Visited a store last night. It was like a graveyard!. Why??. All/most of the retailers are hurting but I expected SPLS with its considerable resources and delivery business to succeed.

Only a ruthless outsider wielding a scythe can turnaround Staples but the board in its infinite folly promoted Shira the ultimate insider and Sargeant pal.

Shows they really don't care for the company. Only a leveraged buyout can save what's left.

Sad...

Staples has a business plan, it's just that they haven't shared it with anyone.

Cannibalize the company for as long as possible to keep the stock price up, so they can keep cashing out until it all caves in.

Been gone from Staples for 5 years and nothing has changed. Am I surprised? Not in the least.

They are busy enough that the skeleton crews that the DLP allows for are tied up.

I can multitask fairly well - but I can't be in two places at once.
