About the only things people know for sure is Tommy, the arrogant mouthpiece, and his miscreants are in disarray, the sale to Bass Pro is fishing on thin ice, the last quarter net income s---ed, but was still positive, at least one department at corporate for sure will have layoffs, lack of accurate news out of corporate wreaks havoc with people's lives, the distribution center northwest of Sidney is antiquated and should be replaced and finally, I can see why revenue is down because the merchandise mix, at least at the retail store, s---s!

The last time I checked there were no gates keeping people in Sidney. Rather than speculate about the final demise of Cabela's and the havoc it will reek on so many individuals why not focus on getting out of Sidney with at least of shred of your dignity intact. There is a great big, wonderful world outside of Sidney, Nebraska - why not leave Sidney now before the last waves crash over the bow of the sinking ship?
Poster have you worked a day at the distribution center? Working at the DC during the hot summer days and driving out there in a blizzard is so much fun ( especially when they close roads). Maybe the posters would post positive comments if management treated them with respect and hours were not reduced. DC is no longer running the company and it changed once they went public.
The comedy show continue. As usual the source knows nothing about the Sidney distribution center. I wonder if the source knows anything about Cabela's. However this post doesn't make be laugh at all and instead it makes me angry. A man I knew probably knew as much about Cabela's as this UNAMED SOURCE. Mr. D--k Cabela. I know good friends of D--k Cabela who stated D--k was completely sincere when he said the Sidney DC was where it was at in regard to the important aspects of Cabela's business. I know the Cabela family , I know many close friends who stated D--k Cabela was completely sincere when he was truly grateful for the dedication of the workers at the distribution center. Also year after year the Sidney Distribution Center has been the most profitable in its division to the company. I do not know if the source may have worked for a day at the Sidney Distribution center and got his hands dirty for the first time in his life maybe that was the problem
Maybe the posts will be more interesting Friday, March 3.
The clothing transition has always s---ed for Cabela's. Nothing new, just comes with the territory!
I haven't stepped foot in a Cabela's retail store for several months. The one thing I can about this time of year, is the assortment s---s! Transiting from winter to spring, the clothing departments are a train wreck!
And, Paul Singer is laughing all the way to the bank!!
