Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Seize the moment , October 2015

On October 2015, she wrote to all Hewlett Packard Enterprise Employees :

You probably saw the news earlier today, Dell announced that they would acquire EMC for $67 billion. I wanted to take a quick moment to tell you why I (and you should too) believe this is a good thing for Hewlett Packard Enterprise and an opportunity for us to seize the moment. This is validation for the strategy that we have laid out and I am not surprised that others would try to emulate it. But, the reality is that we are two years ahead of the game and it will be difficult for others to catch up.

And two years later the results for HPE are disastrous !!!

The correct phrase is "Super excited" and it is absolutely meaningless

Folks, I believe it is obvious internally and to any person following HPE from the outside... the small group of folks leading the company have no idea what they are doing. Big tittles do not grant knowledge and leadership. During Q1 an "execution issue" caused bad numbers together with big problems in North America...??? The remainder of HPE after the spin/merge activities will have a very hard stand in the market. Remain HPE has a serious span of control problem, too many management layers and will face the music after multiple bad quarters. We all know, the employees will pay the bill while execs try to sell us how "excited they are" during any upcoming coffee talk.

The way I see this is simple. Dell's CEO is the founder of the company, who has true passion on what he has been doing. This means he will not let Dell to sink. On the other hand, HP and HPE have been ruined by the Board of directors and greedy CEOs! The old fashioned corporate game is all about connection, power, fame, money and politics. None of these people are interested in innovation and technology.

HPE's response to Dell buying EMC was really a joke. Even my manager (who wants to move up the chain in the organization) was saying "who would want to be in that amount of debt, anyway?". Seriously? Management has Stockholm Syndrome. Ridiculous reaction crying sour grapes, indeed. The Q1 earnings speak volumes and I'm afraid that's just the tip of the iceberg.
