I dont think CG is going to layoff but they are certainly removing middle level people.
Any senior person resigns they are hiring one level below person to replace him. The tactics they are using to remove is no hike in pay, reduction in variable payouts, no promotion. This leads to self resignation from employee which they are replacing with resources with low grade.
They will remove resorces with less package and will hire with more package
Remove middle management and wii hire with low designation by giving more package than the removed ones.
In 2009 they have removed employes and after 1 month they called back removed ones
Layoff or not Capgemini has lost its brand, its right time to leave, though mkt is not good, but you have to take the decision at some. Lots of torture to employee to leave.
