Thread regarding Kellogg Co. layoffs

Play their game, right up until the last inning! And, I'm going on a diet, "No more junk food for me"!

We are all extremely angry, disappointed and feel betrayed. However, in the end what is it going to get us if we trash the company? Some will listen, most will understand and others emphasize, but at the end of the day we have just cheapened ourselves by stooping to Kelloggs level. I'm going to put in my 40 hours, try to do everything within my power (which I do not believe will happen, because I'm losing merchandiser's let and right) to obtain the bonus being offered and keep my "name" in tack. Once we are all gone, it will be my name that they (store director's, assistant manager's, grocery manager's, and receiver's) will remember, not Kelloggs! I'm going to watch Kelloggs ruin their own name in the end.

After an extended leave due to an injury I was "retired" when I finally got cleared to return, because they didn't have a job for me. A week later I see three jobs posted for my position. Typical Kellogg's management. Was frequently asked by store personnel when I was coming back. Never! And thank God for that. I feel for all of you going through this. Best of luck to you all.

I went through this last year (14+ years of service and took a severance package) and I couldn't agree more. Went out the right way with my reputation and sound work ethics in tact. Eventually starting for another company out of grocery but in a similar field and my reputation and solid references were the difference to getting the job. I still get the (things aren't the same since you left) comments every time I run into former grocery managers. Feels good to be missed/respected. Good luck to you. You're certainly going out the right way!

I will continue to give these stores my best work. They are not to blame for what happened. Besides, I may work with these stores in another capacity later and would like for them to remember me as a good worker. This is not the first time something like this has happened to me, and I want the store personnel to remember MY good name.
