Heard that over 60% of the layoffs were women.

For prior exploits of JD, AA and co. please check out the srx/netscreen topline for the last few years. Looking fwd to a repeat performance for all of the mother ship. That violin is sure getting louder.

Here are the laws... https://www.doleta.gov/programs/factsht/warn.htm

It appears that JNPR reports and staggers the end date of employment by over 30 days for different groups of employees (based on severance pay) to get around the laws. Cunning. All this will catchup with us. Better get out soon, before the stock goes to sh--. Pradeep has barely walked out the door and the company is destroyed. Just like that. Simply.

Could be as much as 9% - 10%. Very sketchy announcement.

Announcements went out to specific groups from functional VPs and department heads, to show smaller numbers. For example, the emails said, 100 in our group. However, Entire teams got whacked. Even good VPs, great architects and productive engineers. The common thread in engineering is anyone who kissed JDs dumb a-- was saved. Pathetic. That guy and his cohorts have to go. JD, cant lead JDI, DS, cant tell her head from her a**, leave alone what to build. They need to hit the road. Why does Jonathan and his team of friends and idiots all over the company get to stay? Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.

Juniper: Why a sudden layoff notice?

http://www.edd.ca.gov/jobs_and_training/Layoff_Services_WARN.htm

Quote:

WARN Overview

Per Chapter 4, Part 4, Sections 1400-1408 of the Labor Code, WARN protects employees, their families, and communities by requiring that employers give a 60-day notice to the affected employees and both state and local representatives prior to a plant closing or mass layoff. Advance notice provides employees and their families time to transition and adjust to the prospective loss of employment, time to seek alternative jobs and, if necessary, time to obtain skills training or retraining to successfully compete in the job market. For more information, visit WARN Frequently Asked Questions.

WWOps team cut by 6.5% full time employees. None of the EVP's closest buddies... In fact, one guy that no one seems to know what he actually does in terms of adding value to the company (all he seems to do is kiss a-- very loudly in the aisles) was re-assigned to a lesser role rather than be let go. The good old boy network is alive and well at Juniper, to the detriment of shareholders. No surprises here.
