Existing contractor groups can be asked to increase staffing levels and guaranteed a minimum amount of work for doing so. ATS offer will not last forever. It is not an offer they are required to make. As a Altice/Cablevision employee they are giving you the opportunity to continue to stay employed in the company via Altice ATS. One has to realize that at some point the technicians that opted not to go to ATS will be let go. Becoming an ATS technician then will possibly not be an option. Your refusal to make the move to ATS potentially could be held against you by the company if you try to get hired by an existing contractor group that works for Altice. It would be very easy to have in the contract they sign with these groups a requirement that former employees of the company are not allowed to work in any Altice system. Cablevision had that in their contracts. Hopefully someone has asked if Altice is willing to let you keep your existing tools if you make the move to ATS. What about a vehicle? Will there be individual payroll deductions to pay for use of truck, ladder, and tools? Do you have to buy your own? If so do you have to buy from them? All things to know about in advance if possible.

Charter and Verizon deal is coming. Go on Wall Street web for more info. For now just ride with this train and later strike from nowhere. ATS and their big bosses would be shocked that nobody wants to work for them and all paying costumers are gone. That's the future for this "GIGA SPEED NATION" company. Remember that Drahi is valued only 9 billions. They paid 17.7 for CABLEVISION and many more for Suddenlink and all company's in Europe. Hmmmm, all this is high APR debt, so if one little thing goes bad or one big investor decides to pull money out they will be done! Anyone can buy expensive house and Ferrari but you have to remember about payments. You can make them until you have cash coming. Sounds familiar? Remember Madoff?
Remember the alleged deal to not cut customer facing employees is only in NY. All you Nj guys are in trouble
Not true everyone is expected to go over to ATS - benefits, uniforms what you currently have now. If you decide to stay you work for altice USA.
That's it no chopping block.
They want you to accept,so if they cut you or fire you. You can't cry for your job back, because you readily accepted the bogus offer, and are not protected by the deal the union made with alitice for the Customer facing employees. That you youngsters think Cablevision gave you out the goodness of their heart. Keep believing it's sickening.
It's not automatic you have to accept the offer if there is one
As far as field operations goes, I heard construction, OSP and fiber are all automatically being migrated over to ATS. In other words, there is no choice. As for FS, the rumor is that they will only be giving certain techs the option to go to ATS. The techs who don't get the option would inevitably be on the chopping block. This is all speculation and hearsay of course since no one seems to have any real clue as to what is going on.
I heard we will have to buy ATS uniforms
Pathetic begging for company scraps. People don't know their own worth sad sad 😭 let them fire me and I will move on, and keep my dignity. I know I'm better than this bs Ats has nothing to offer me.
blah, blah, blah........more union BS !!
Don't forget EZ Pass
Wow, you guys are really evil. I didn't even think about getting charged to use the tools and truck. Makes good business sense. I guess gas cards will go away also
Why are we talking about contractors. Dexter said they don't want to contract out. Remember how bad the contractors were last time, with the customer complaints. Terrible move if they go that route
I will take the package before i buy in to the bs you selling ..not true we will be gone rather you stay or leave it dont matter so please with your corperate bs.
