I worked at fmc for over 20 yrs.Was rated outstanding on every review. But I was not an az kisser and was 60 yrs old.Guess what. Got the lay off and would tell anyone who is thinking about employment with them look elsewhere.Used to be a great family to be be a part of, but today all they look at is who you s--- up to!!
I worked for Technip for 16 years before getting laid off. What's left there now are a bunch of incompetents. If I feel sorry for anyone it's FMC - quite why they would choose to get into bed with a bunch of over rated Frenchies is beyond me....
The day isn't over.. they are working the Mfg group till the end of the day. More cuts coming after today as well. Some good some bad.
Looks like this person didnt know what they were talking about. Don't think anythings going to happen today.
That's similar to the gang leader in Houston, GP Facilities. She's under the impression her military rank holds well in a civilian position here in Houston. And she's a big joke. Half the time she's out on military duty, don't get me wrong we do respect the military, but how do you collect a full time management check while your out on special military duties and collecting that check too. Something's wrong with that picture. Lay her and her short lil "know nothing" sidekick off. We'd all be happy. We need to make room for the merging people.
Word has it that the "New Gang Leader" in Erie has actually become the laughing stock of the entire operation. What a worthless "DOPE"
Sounds exactly like what they did in Erie last Dec 2016. The new regime decided it was time to get rid of everyone that was not part of the "newer gang" which was about a third of the workforce. They then manipulated some job descriptions and have been replacing the unpopular crown ever since then.
Leadership is still laying off, the draining of the swamp continues here in Houston. Overlapped positions will still throughout the months be slimmed down to the need of each department. Mfg will be gone in about a week. Hopefully they see straight through the still in place Houston Facilities. These people have nothing to do. Watch your backs on the new "Clan" in these positions. From the guy from GE to the chick from a hospital background in "events coordinating". They are a true joke to the fundamental's of the FMC culture and also the Technip one as well. They will do and say whatever they can to keep their positions. We truly hope they keep the ole team that was established before these cronies came around. Highest level of management looks good, I am positive the merge is a great success. Well, without that particular group in Facilities, the newer "gang". They stick together and cover one another. Time will catch up to these type of people. Good luck to the rest of us that actually work and have ethics.
Technip has been steadily laying off American in HOUSTON for the last couple of months. Keep in mind in Europe the have to get governmental approval to reduce staff. Not in the US. So when the ax falls it will be where they have the least resistance for the most payroll reduction.
Maybe they will just cut hrs and benifits
No worries
With MD2 going to OneSubsea, we're doomed. Mgmt should not have let the people go with relationships with the customer.
Someone must have had a brain fart
Not a layoff just getting rid of the money wasting manufacturing group...
