Yesterday, Field Ops Director for Westchester/CT met with techs to announce that he's resigning and going to take a position at Charter.
During his little speech, he was urging techs to go join ATS & also saying that we don't need a union.
The captain is jumping ship?? hmm.. anyone finds that a little odd?
Any tech that thinks ATS is gonna be filled with great opportunity better think again. It's nothing more than a contracting company that will be used to lure techs in to voluntarily separating themselves from Altice so that they can then have complete autonomy over the terms and conditions of their employment. (in other words bait & switch)
1) why would I be losing free cable benefit ?
2) does going to ATS mean that I'll never qualify for the 20-year or 25-year cable benefit as described in handbook ?
3) why is a pay reduction listed as an option ?
4) if we're being trained to do fiber, shouldn't we be discussing a pay increase ?
5) where is this alleged training gonna be based ?
6) am I receiving a 1099 at the end of the year ?
7) why is it so difficult to get any real info about this alleged new "global" company ?
8) why would a prestigious international company such as Altice elect to have B@rry Monopoli as their front man? are you kidding? that is just absurd!
being unable to fully answer basic questions about ATS means that no one should be rushing to sign up.
enough is enough.....we need to find a way for all techs from all depots to unite and fight back against this dictatorship asap.
