I was told directly when I was let go from dealersocket on the 18th that poorer than expected performance and problems with some of the acquisitions were the reason for the layoffs.

They geared up their website staff for a Chrysler oem endorsement then didn't win it, laid off many. Support has dwindled significantly in all products.

"DealerSocket has gone through 4 acquisitions in the last 18 months".

No they haven't. They haven't had an acquisition since mid 2015.

"Having worked for other SaaS companies, this is a typical thing."

define typical in your sense of the word.

"The company is not in distress, and we are more fruitful than ever."

Scumbag corporate: More fruitful than ever; lays off 100 employees

" It was an unfortunate situation that occurred, and we lost a lot of good people",

It wasn't involuntary layoffs, Dealersocket made a choice, you use the word unfortunate very loosely.

"but as acquisitions occur, cuts are a typical thing."

I agree they are, however the mantra of Dealersocket since they acquired us in 2015, was that no one would lose their jobs and everything would stay the same.

I would like to add that I was not one of those laid off, I jumped the ship before it sank.

As an employee of DealerSocket, I can assure you all that we are still building the next generation of Inventory+. We recently just released a small UI refresh that looks great, and provides information in a more suitable fashion.

In response to the layoffs:

Around 100 employee cut in this first round. An outward sign of the inner issues that are going on.

This has been in the works for 18+ months. If you didn't see it coming, you weren't paying attention.
