Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

Rockland is pulling its petition for vote...for now...

You heard it here first..so before the company sends out another email claiming a victory or " we are pleased that the employees chose to side with the company and say no "...heres the real deal....we did it as a strategy...we need more techs, primarily field service , to stop hiding in the shadows and stand with your fellow techs who have started the movement and are putting themselves on the line to not only fight to keep what they have and get more...but for YOU also. Its not right while they fight as you just sit back and watch...stand up...dont be a minion that management wants you to be. Publicly support each other and you will be victorious. They cant put a target on a majority or a whole shop that stands together...and by that..you know you guys will win....and they know they will have lost what they so desperately seek...power and total control over you. Stick by this and you will be victorious...and when you do...lobby other shops...then it can happen there...

Until we get that...rockland has to pull it...in 6 months we will be at it again officially...its better this way because if we lost...then we cant campaign for a year...leaving us open for altices regime for a year...so you heard it here first...spread the work and the word...we scaled the soldiers back for now but the war us still on...

Jack a--, let me give you some points of interest: policy changes not affecting the business side of operations (ie. holidays and sick days for employees, rate increases for customers, modem fees for employees, etx)., all that BS going on now: those are not considered changes in the eyes of regulators when they sought approval for purchase. Neither are the closing of Shelton and Stratford call centers because technically it was consolidation for purposes of redundancy and employees were offered options like relocation to other centers. As long as they were "offered" options to retain employment with the company, whether they chose to or not, or whether they were selected for those available positions or not, it doesn't affect any agreements in principle. Sure that s---s to go from Connecticut to Bartow or somewhere "close" in altice's eyes. It's effectively a work around to lay off people which is a d--k move. Laying off and closing places flat out, That's different and that sh-- starts to happen at the one year mark when their obligation is fulfilled. You think the NY public service commission has any clout, to enforce no layoffs or changes to customer facing employees for four years? That's all to keep up appearances til after closed sale. When you technically resign from optimum (altice usa)to move over to "sister" company ATS under altice N. V. (global), Im sure there are tax incentives and loopholes that negate any previous arrangement too because you technically no longer work for what was cablevision.

And for the record, I signed my card how bout you?

Six months will put everyone around June. June 20th marks one calendar year of altice ownership. Their obligation not to make changes for one year will be over.

Omg !!!! Please Altice lower the package number and let me OUTTA HERE !!!! I can't believe that guys I know for 20 plus years can be this dumb !!!!
