EMEA? You can't lay anyone off in Europe without permission from the local work council. Basically you have to pay them 'til they get a new job.

They close small offices and reduce workforce in global services . Based on the counties laws some alredy left ( UK) and others are looking for volunteers because local laws make layoffs not so easy..
Several people already left, but the company keep a "low profile" and the people of each single country often are unaware about it.
The next incoming week will be crucial, others are waiting the axe......
The Managment already know the head count but don't give too much information.
