What is the rumor about the rest of the software group? I heard the remaining software (outside of backup) will be gone or only supported. No more R&D.

Few guys from VIPR controller moved to VIPR SRM in india. Heard some Director & Group Manager in Controller in india are useless doing nothing only you can see them publishing photos and mails about themselves.Screwed the whole product.
It was common knowledge that once the Dell EMC merger went through all software solutions were going to be sold off , die off, no future deelopment
How many developers are there in the EMC ViPR SRM team and of that amount, how many were layed off ? Someone mentioned above Dell EMC will stop development and put the product in support only mode, is that true ?
from what i heard they are moving the SP work to India but kept the team in Montreal, so i guess SRM is staying...for now anyways
This product never really worked well, customers in the field had to always restart the collectors and sometime had to re-install from scratch. Customer hated the amount of servers needed and to be honest most of them never even installed it when it was rammed down their throats. Glad this is going away. I hope the customer who paid for it will demand their money back on maintenance.
This is strange after they banged on about how much money is spent on R&D within Dell EMC compared with competitors and what a good thing it was.
With 25 gone from the SRM team, what is the plan for that product line?
Totally 18 people let go in SRM on Wed 11th and Today 13th 7 more folks got time till May end.
