Thread regarding Fossil Inc. layoffs

To you the new Former Fossilers

Take heart, friends. You've been released from the sinking ship. You have marketable skills and you'll land on your feet. If you're anything like me, very shortly you'll realize this was the best thing that could have happened to you. Good luck and God bless!

I wish the guy that calls people "got booted from fossil" bitter would have your own so called sweetness from this sinking ship. Most of the staff got laid off this time were not the decision makers who misjudged the company's direction from the beginning. They do not deserve the layoff, and they do not deserve to be called "bitter". Everyone have their own right to make any comments. I however understand why you are saying this tho, as he "NEW world FOSSIL" retains most people who are heartless and only has their month for the purpose of licking sh--ty ass

This guy... I spent 9 years there. Personally, I wouldn't call it bitterness. More an ongoing disappointment in the caliber of "leaders" who I thought had certain qualities which they clearly do not possess. Interesting though that folks such as yourself feel the need to go to bat for a company that would blow you out the proverbial airlock without a second thought if it would save a buck. And God forbid that there would be people trying to comfort folks who just got shown the door. Good luck to you there, smart guy. Go grab yourself a Starbucks and keep your head in the sand.

And yet...here you all are commenting...seems to me if getting the boot from Fossil was the best thing ever you wouldn't be bitter enough to be talking about it after all this time!

I was laid off from this place 3 years ago after 14 years and it was the BEST THING that could have happened to me. Life is so much better outside that place and I haven't spent one second missing it. Good luck to all!

As someone who was let go from Fossil over a year ago (after 12 years) I can tell you it was a relief to leave the stress and unknown Fossil future. There are great jobs out there now and you have a support system of former "fossilites" who cared about the company, cared about the leadership and really cared about the Fossil customer.

Get on linked in and start reaching out. We feel for you - have been there - and want to help.
