I just got laid off from EMC today after 15 years. I heard rumors of 25% happening but cannot confirm.

Finally double Confirmed, I was also laid off back in 2017 located in China COE (the guy who managed me told me that It's re-org and I was fired ) and after one year, I heard from my ex-coworker it's 25% of the overall employee.
The latest news in 2019: I heard about DellEMC is that they cut down benefits for senior employee and paid less to a new hire ,(also lower down skills required for new hire which can not guarantee the proper English speaking of Chinese Employee)
It feels like that EMC has been "Delled" : Me too and cheaper
I also would like to know what kind of severance package they are giving out.

Andy Cole was the worst I have seen so far.
All managers are afraid of him so they do what he says.
He is also the sole person that decided on who got laid off and who stayed in the west.

Many people getting laid off today at the old EMC Hopkinton site. It isn't just duplicate functions since the Dell merger. Key engineers abd testers are being walked out. Very sad here.
