@ear - @cgn here. I agree, it's bizarre, but somehow, San Diego has managed to retain a good reputation with Aicha. I guess they are good at looking productive (Aicha is surprisingly easy to fool in that regard). I mean, it's bizarre that those guys got hired in the first place, as everyone knows that those are mostly people who had to leave Q, not people who wanted to (it's not like Intel's salaries are competitive).

But that seems to be the strategy: US is safe. Germany is considered a mid-term "necessary evil" that will phase out slowly. India will just as slowly be replaced by green badges to buffer work fluctuations and to do the mind-numbing work nobody else wants to do.

Highly unlikely. Aicha has made it quite clear on many occasions that she is completely sick of the drama, backstabbing and lack of teamwork in India. If any work is going to be moved anywhere, it's to the US.
