I took some notes to share. Don't ream me if I got something wrong as I'm not technical.
He was asked about 12K job cuts ending in mid-2017 and BK didn't say anything like 'That's wrong', or 'We;re done' so there must be more to come. He said a portion was reduction and a portion is restructuring where they've hired as well.
He was asked about long term revenue and if it was going to be chipsets or data and he replied *"It's all about data". The Data Center is what is powering Intel going forward. Not giving up on the PC, we're strenghtneing other areas. Excited about PC in 2017 with battery life, etc, will bring people back to the PC.
Asked about the Trump meeting. It was a policywise connvo, it's not trade wars. ABout making US competitive, lower tax rates, that's what brings it back to the US. Also, R&D tax credits were discussed and not to undo regulations.
Asked about Moore's Law - said the pace of Moore's Law will go way beyond my career. Something about "end up 2.5 yrs". See's 10, 7 and eventually 5 nanometer.
Again, don't ream me as I'm not the best note taker and I'm not technical. I tried to capture the best I could but my handwriting is sh_t when I'm trying to hurry. lol
